On Sunday, February 12, 1993, the Lord placed upon the heart of Rev. Ronald K.  Moore, his vision for a stronger church.

After much prayer and guidance from our Lord and Savior, on Wednesday, February 15, 1993, a meeting of about sixty of God's children was held at the Mississippi Baptist Seminary.  There, Rev.  Moore revealed what God had placed upon his heart, and the Stronger Hope Missionary Baptist Church was born.  "Praise the Lord!"

On Sunday, February 19, 1993, a huge motorcade, organized at the corner of Bailey Avenue and Woodrow Wilson Drive, journeyed to a new location on North West Street where the church formally organized, and the first worship service was held.  The saints lifted the name of Jesus and sang praises unto Him for He had already blessed them in a miraculous way.

After spending some four months at the North West Street location, the Stronger Hope Church family moved to the shopping center at Watkins Drive and Forest Avenue.  There we continued to praise God and grow stronger in His will for we realized that He was getting us ready for something much greater than we had experienced.  In June 1993, our pastor revealed to us what the Lord had willed for our church family.  He inspired us when he told us that we were going to build and move into a permanent location.

On Sunday, February 12, 1994, the Stronger Hope family moved to our Beasley Road location.  Over the years God has continued to bless us as we have acquired additional properties for the growth and expansion of our church family.

In November, 1998, God spoke to the heart of our Pastor to lead us in building a new edifice.  The construction phase started in February, 2001 and completed in December, 2001.  God allowed the Stronger Hope family to move into our new edifice December 29, 2001.  In the midst of much praise and glory, we thanked God for accomplishing in us that we could not have accomplished on our own.

On April 1, 2003 we broke ground on  a ten unit commercial outlet which will be used to help members start their own businesses.  The facility will house beauty/barber shop, a women's boutique, a variety store, a small eatery, etc.  Construction to begin in May, 2004.

Plans are now underway  for construction of a new Community Life Complex which will house a Gymnatorium, 20 classrooms, weight room, commercial kitchen and bowling alley.

Stronger Hope Baptist Church will continue to be a church striving to meet the needs of people through exalting the Savior, equipping the saints and evangelizing the sinner.
