We want it to be easy for you to come to church. We want to experience a great time in worship and meet friendly people who will welcome you into the family of Stronger Hope. We know that first-time visits to any church raise many questions and concerns. Here's a quick look at some frequently asked questions that will hopefully give you a better idea of what to expect when you visit Stronger Hope. If you don't see an answer to your question here or on any of the specific ministry pages, please contact us in the church office by calling 601.956.4784. Our staff would love to assist you in preparation for your visit to Stronger Hope.
Where do I park?
There are parking areas in the front and side of the church. There are also parking attendants to assist you with parking. If you need additional assistance, feel free to ask any of the greeters.
Where do I go?
Greeters are located at each entrance to the building and are available to direct you to the Sanctuary for worship, to a classroom for Bible Study or to any specific ministry meeting area.
What should I wear?
Dress comfortably. We're more concerned with meeting your needs than focusing on what you wear. While some people do choose to wear their "Sunday best", most people wear casual clothing. We only ask that you be modest and appropriate in what you choose to wear to worship.
What do I need to bring?
A Bible will help you follow along in both worship and Bible Study. If you have a Bible, bring it with you. If you don't have a Bible, a copy will be available for your use.
When do I need to arrive?
Sunday morning services begin promptly at 8:00 am and 10:30 am. Family (Sunday) School classes meet at 9:15 am. Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the service/class time to allow adequate time for parking and getting to the Sanctuary/Family (Sunday) School class.
Is the church handicap accessible?
Yes. There is reserved parking directly in front of the Sanctuary. The building is also equipped with wheelchair accessible entrances and handicap accessible restrooms located throughout the building. Should you need a wheelchair to use or need assistance, please call the church office ahead of time and we'll be waiting on you to help you get to where you're going.
Where do my children go?
Just inside the Church, in the Foyer entrance are greeters stationed throughout the morning to assist your child and direct them to their classroom. We offer Children Church for ages 4-15. The Children Church is a transitioning season for our children to grow spiritually in their environment.
How do the worship services differ?
The 8:00 am service is traditional and features the singing of hymns accompanied by the piano, organ and the Sanctuary Choir. The 10:30 service is blended and feature the singing of hymns and praise choruses accompanied by the praise band and the Celebration Choir. Both the 8:00 and 10:30 am services are featured to enhance the worship experience.
How are guests (visitors) recognized?
The last thing we want to do is single you out or put you on the spot. We ask guest to fill out a Guest Information Card given to you from the greeters before you enter into the sanctuary and simply drop it in the offering plate so that we can have a record of your visit. We'll never ask you to stand up or call you out in any way. We want you to have a wonderful experience at Stronger Hope and we strive to create a friendly and comfortable environment to make you feel right at home.
